Kuala Lumpur, 21st October 2025 — Caction was honoured to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Persatuan Industri Keselamatan Malaysia (PIKM), marking a significant step toward digital transformation in the nation’s security sector.

The event, held at the Microsoft Malaysia office in Menara Shell, witnessed the official signing ceremony between John Lee, CEO of Caction, and Datuk Mohammad Ubaidillah Bin Iman, President of PIKM.

The collaboration aims to empower Malaysia’s private security industry—one of the country’s most essential yet traditional sectors—with digital systems that simplify daily operations, streamline service standards and offer insightful data. Through this MOU, Caction and PIKM will work together to equip member companies with access to tools for scheduling, workforce management, data analytics, and compliance reporting—transforming how guard services and patrol teams coordinate nationwide.

In addition, with the support of Microsoft, Caction leverages cutting-edge solutions to help PIKM and its member companies digitize operations, gain real-time data visibility, and drive smarter, more efficient security management across all levels.

The partnership also aligns closely with Malaysia’s national agenda for AI-driven digital transformation, reflecting both organizations’ shared vision to prepare the industry for a growingly digital economy. By digitizing operational processes, security firms can achieve higher transparency, faster response times, access consolidated reports and better insights into manpower deployment—all crucial for building public trust and client confidence.

The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of PIKM members who were eager to learn how digital tools can enhance operational efficiency within their organizations.

The ceremony began with welcoming remarks by Caction’s founder John Lee, who expressed, “This MOU represents our commitment to bringing together technology providers and security service providers—combining innovation and expertise to accelerate the industry’s digital transformation. We work hand-in-hand with technologies from Microsoft—including Azure, Fabric analytics, and modern AI tooling—to ensure enterprise-grade security, scalability, and a clear roadmap as the industry’s needs evolve.’’

PIKM Vice President Shah Jahankhir bin Hameed added, ”We are excited that this collaboration will allow us to tap into smart data and digital technologies as we navigate strict regulatory demands, fragmented training standards and other challenges. We’re looking into technology partnerships and leveraging digital solutions to elevate the industry as a whole.’’

Following the signing, representatives from Caction and Microsoft delivered presentations that highlighted how different solutions can be applied to the security industry to overcome specific challenges. There were also many opportunities to network at the event, from casual meet-and-greet sessions to a focused discussion with industry leaders and peers. Many participants engaged actively in the discussion, reflecting the industry’s growing readiness to embrace digital transformation.

Microsoft Malaysia and Crayon, both long-term technology partners of Caction, were also present at the ceremony. Their participation underscored the collaborative ecosystem supporting the initiative. Caction, a Registered Microsoft Partner, is one of only 13 companies awarded the MDAG-AI Grant 2025 by MDEC —further reinforcing its credibility as a Malaysian innovator driving intelligent, data-based solutions.

The MOU symbolizes more than a partnership between two organizations—it represents a leap toward a smarter, safer, and more efficient security ecosystem for Malaysia. Through this initiative, Caction and PIKM are setting a precedent for how traditional industries can embrace innovation to remain relevant and resilient in the digital age.
